Cogeneration units are connected to the secondary regulation of the Slovak electricity grid. The two cogeneration units are located in the engine room and besides filling the tasks in the secondary regulation, they perform the black start function of the power plant.
The other four cogeneration units fulfill the requirements of the secondary regulation of the Slovak electricity grid. All СHР are started from a parent system, and cogeneration units use their own system of prioritizing the cogeneration unit. The heat produced in cogeneration units is distributed to the customers of the city of Levice and the adjacent industrial park.
